oUR FOUNDATIONAL Truth
true freedom isn't just about a change in physical location; it is an internal restoration. the triskele program walks alongside incarcerated and system-impacted individuals to foster holistic healing, resilience and a return to wholeness.
Mission
Our mission is to foster true justice by aligning body, mind, and spirit for incarcerated and transitioning individuals as well as all those impacted by incarceration. Through holistic healing, we help restore relationships and build accountable, supportive communities from the inside out.
About the Program
We believe that the trauma of incarceration impacts a person on three distinct levels. Our work utilizes the ancient symbol of the triskelion to bring these three pillars into continuous, harmonious motion:
Body
Many individuals enter incarceration without the knowledge of how to care for their bodies. Many enter as addicts, or recovering addicts. Many enter without an understanding of how nutrition and exercise affect mental and emotional states. The Triskele Program's first step is to address somatic issues to bring the Body into alignment with the Mind and Spirit.
Mind
Building on an understanding of how the Body and Mind interact, the second stage of The Triskele Program guides individuals through the development of skills necessary to operate in their home communities, such as literacy & critical thinking, non-violent communication, financial literacy, civics, and even parenting. Programming can be adapted to each individual's needs and interests.
Spirit
The last stage of The Triskele Program leads individuals through trauma-informed cognitive spaces, mindfulness practices, and narrative reframing to help individuals process past trauma and reclaim authorship of their own stories. Utilizing creativity and art, religious support, and modern spiritual practices, The Triskele Program helps individuals connect with their own understanding of spirituality to begin healing with their loved ones in preparation for reunification.
The Triskele Program is unique in that our approach focuses on conducting a behavioral analysis before the implementation of programming. This requires a deep analysis of each individual by a liscenced behavioral analyst . With the results, the participant works with a coordiantor to build a personalized program that leads them towards achieving our Participant Learnig Objectives (PLOs)
